A fund for Jennie

Helping a fellow blogger in need

After reading about Jennie losing her husband I immediately donated to 'Bloggers Without Borders'. But I wanted to do more. In a way it feels like I'm supporting a friend although I have never met Jennie nor did I read her blog before this tragic story became known.
In this day and age we often don't know our neighbours let alone do we know if they need help. But through Twitter and other social media we know someone else's neighbour. Someone living in the same street where Jennie lives might not know of the tragedy that struck her. But we do. So let's be her neighbour, her friend and a supporting blogger.

Jennie did not ask for help or money, she asked her readers to make Mikey a peanut butter cream pie.
Jennie's post you can read below cellebrates her love for Mikey.
A love that touched hundreds of people was answered with genuine compassion.

"As I spend Friday reflecting on the love and life that was gone in an instant, I'd like to invite all of you to celebrate his life too. Mikey loved peanut butter cream pie. I haven't made it in a while, and I've had it on my to-do list for a while now.
I kept telling myself I would make it for him tomorrow. Time has suddenly stood still, though, and I'm waiting to wake up and learn to live a new kind of normal. For those asking what they can do to help my healing process, make a peanut butter pie this Friday and share it with someone you love. Then hug them like there's no tomorrow because today is the only guarantee we can count on."

So in an attempt to do more I'm offering this limited edition signed art print by Belgian Illustrator Bruno Vergauwen in the #afundforjenny auction.

This print is named "travel" as in the travels and obstacles that life has in store for everyone.
As Bruno (who created this drawing) is my beloved husband and he also wanted to contribute, there will also be a little extra in the parcel for you...

Starting bid is as low as 50 $ and the closing bid will go to Jennie in full.
Please feel free to place your bid in the comments section below and send me an email with your details if you are the winner.
